I'm using odk-collect to collect form data for forms using the formhub.org site.
In the form I have a geolocation field.
The field shows fine in the mobile application but the location is not recorded.
It either takes too long too record the location or doesn't record it at all.
I tried it on wifi connection as well so there is not issue of bad network connection.
Anybody have any solution for the above issue.
GPS-based geolocation does not work well inside buildings.
The first time your phone determines its position, it can take a while to
find and lock onto the satellites.
Try it outside away from tall buildings that might block the satellites.
Network-based (cell-tower-based) geolocation is much faster, but has less
accuracy.
Under the device's Settings / Location & Security
Check both the 'Use wireless networks' and 'Use GPS satellites' checkboxes.
If you need to use network-based locations, then you may need to increase
the accuracy threshold at which ODK Collect will accept the geolocation.
