We found more issues with this implementation and removed it for v2025.2. Specifically, we found that several barcode types were likely to be scanned partially only. We believe we have a path to fixing these issues and are hoping to release the new functionality in v2025.3 by the end of September.
We have a first beta release of v2025.3 with the new barcode scanning implementation behind an opt-in experimental setting. We'll be enabling it as the default in a future beta when the improved scanning is implemented.
