I have just added the Google website-translator language drop-down to the
top of the http://opendatakit.org/ website pages.

Hopefully that gives reasonable translations (now in 80 languages!).

Can you browse to your ODK Aggregate and log onto it? (i.e., are you out
of quota?)

I assume you set up your authentication credentials per:

Unfortunately I have just run out of quota and cannot logon and browse to
it....however this has only just happened.

It is strange - I have been able to submit completed forms for the sample http://groups.google.com/group/opendatakit/msg/31309493104066f5 ...more

If the form can be uploaded to ODK Aggregate, you should be able to submit
completed forms to it.

Note that the form has to be uploaded to ODK Aggregate before you can
submit to it.

Tom Smyth <tom@sassafras.coop mailto:tom@sassafras.coop > Jul 08 02:09PM -0400

Have people tried to use ODK with a very large cascading select one option
set? Say perhaps 120,000 options, several levels deep. So maybe 20MB worth
of data or so. Of course data transfer might be http://groups.google.com/group/opendatakit/msg/9ff2b59b9412b0f6 ...more

Hi Tom, I tried something much smaller (about 3000 at the lowest level) and
I think my observations were the following:

You can get more performance for large selects if you switch to
external itemsets.

Hello-
I have read the various topics on this and it seems that the key to this is
to use Briefcase to download a csv that shows all the data. I have a record

After Pull of the data (copying the form definition and all of the form's
data and images to your computer), you need to go to the Export tab to then
export the contents of the local copy to one or http://groups.google.com/group/opendatakit/msg/6630fd004c90f58d ...more

Hi Cyndi,

An alternative approach would be to create 3 forms:

  1. the initial questions that include the GPS, species, etc
  2. the survey data that needs to be filled in every visit http://groups.google.com/group/opendatakit/msg/65b7b35b26fbcca7 ...more

If you long-press anywhere on the select-one choices, you will get a pop-up
in which you can 'Remove Response' to deselect your choice.

suggested worked to skip over the date fields. Totally helpful thanks!!

Did you save the CSV in UTF-8?

NOTE: Microsoft Excel does not do this.

You might be able to convert the CSV saved via MS Excel into UTF-8 using

What if you rotate 90 degrees?
Does it display on a larger tablet?

We try to fit the table into the width of the screen. If it is too wide,
odd things may happen.
