Are you using a "Google Account" or an "ODK Account" to authenticate to
Aggregate? Currently Collect only supports authenticating to Aggregate with
an ODK Account.
My guess is that the username and password you are using to authenticate on
the phone is your Google Account, which won't work as it should be an ODK
account that you create on Aggregate. Additionally, the "Data Collector"
permission checkbox must be checked to authorize the ODK account you
create on Aggregate to be able to submit data to Aggregate. To create an
ODK Aggregate account visit the "Site Admin" tab.

I have created an account with Google app engine and an instance to link

The issue arises when I try to point the phone to the server on ODK

ODK phone interface. A dialog box pops-up saying that "Server Requires
Authentication". I enter the username of the Google ODK Aggregate account
and then when I try to scroll down to enter the password, I am unable to.
When I try to use the return key on the physical keyboard, it goes to the
"OK" button, as opposed to the next field (the password field).
If I then click okay, the dialog pops-up again, rendering it impossible to
connect to the server and thus download a form.
Am I doing something incorrect or is there something wrong with my
I am doing a training on these phones very shortly. Any help you can
