Also, look at the catalina.2012-mm-dd.log file for the date that you
tried
to log on. Search for "superUserEmail" - is the e-mail address given in
lower case or did you specify it with capital letters? If it isn't all
in
lower-case, re-run the installer specifying the exact use of upper and
lower case characters that Google reports your e-mail to be when you
look
at your Gmail account settings (generally, these will be all lower
case)).

Otherwise, if that looks good, look in the log file for WARNING or
SEVERE
entries. Look for anything that might indicate a problem with the
server
(e.g., a missing MySQL Connector/J library).

There will ordinarily be a few WARNINGS about watchdog actions that
should
not occur frequently, a deprecated 'path-type' configuration setting,
and a
warning about "Security role name admin used in an
without being defined in a ". These can be ignored.

There will also may be one or two SEVERE entries occurring when
shutting
down the server concerning resources not being released or threads
failing
to stop.

I uploaded 6 forms on to an empty deployment of ODK Aggregate on
Appspot
last night. Since then, as soon as I login to Appspot, it starts
refreshing
the page every second and it won't let me click anything. Here's an
excerpt
of the error log. You can notice how quickly it's happening.

Add me as a developer to your instance (
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/AppEngineTroubleshooting ).

This occurs when you upload a form twice within about 3 seconds. The
fix
for this issue will be in the 1.0.7 release.

To minimize the likelihood of this, consider lengthening the
double-click
timer for your mouse.

There currently isn't an easy way to import existing data into ODK
Aggregate.

Some messy options.

  1. Import it into Fusion Tables and then merge the data you stream
    from Aggregate into FT.
  2. Write a script to convert the Excel file to an XML instances and
use Briefcase to upload it to Aggregate.
