ken,

please upgrade collect to 1.1.7 and aggregate to 1.0.2 and see if that
solves the problem.

ODK Briefcase transfer from Aggregate v0.9.4 to v1.0.1 Production problem

Tanya tanyak@gmail.com Dec 02 09:28AM -0800

Hi ODK team & friends,

I'm having trouble transferring data over from a really old instance
of ODK v0.9.4 to a new Production Aggregate instance, v.1.0.1. I'm
using ODK Briefcase v.1.0 Beta 2.1. I have ownership on the old
Aggregate instance AND over the new Aggregate instance and am logged
in to the new instance with ODK authentication, not OpenID.

I get an error message when I attempt the data transfer. The error
message is:
Fetching form definition
preparing to retrieve instance data
retrieving next chunk of instances from server...
NOT ALL SUBMISSIONS RETRIEVED: Error fetching list of submissions:
Fetch of submission download chunk failed. Detailed error: Not Found
(404) while accessing:
http://myinstance.appspot.com/view/submissionList?cursor=&formId=build_Forest-Inventory-1_1314072047&numEntries=100
Please verify that the URL, your user credentials and your permissions
are all correct.
FAILED.
Skipping upload -- download failed

Here's a screenshot:

I saw the earlier thread about not using OpenID, so I'm using ODK
auth, and I still get this error. Plus it seems to be a problem with
data download from the 0.9.4 instance, before authentication was built
in.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Tanya

Hi Tanya,

You must first upgrade the 0.9.4 instance to the latest 0.9.8.1 version.

The functionality for migrating was not added until 0.9.8
