[ODK Community] Exporting problems with CSV file when using repeating groups

Use the ODK Briefcase application. This allows you to pull all data down to
your local computer. After that, you can Export to CSV. This will produce
one CSV file for the top level group and one CSV file for each repeat group
within the form.

When I have a repeating group in a form and I download this form from
aggregate in the multiple entry field I get an http:/ instead of the actual
data. I have attached a copy of my CSV file. Does anyone know what to do to
prevent this from happening and to be able to export the real data?

There is a usage section that explains this on the website

My guess is you are using a google account instead of a ODK account.

No, if you need everything in one file, consider exporting to JSON (newly
available in ODK Aggregate 1.2 -- ODK Briefcase isn't able to do this).

This will recursively traverse the form, emitting all nested repeat data
along with the form. The media attachments are referenced as URLs.

Mitch,

Is there a way (or java application) that merges the repeat data files
into one csv file?

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,

Along those same lines, you can also patch Briefcase to export JSON.
