[ODK Community] Grouping Questions on a Single Screen in ODK Collect 1.2(1013)

On line 2245, you have:

  <repeat nodeset="/data/space_making_element" appearance="field-list">
    <group appearance="field-list">

If you remove the appearance="field-list" from the , it should
work. The problem is, placing the appearance tag on the repeat leads ODK
Collect 1.2 to expect there to be only questions nested within the repeat,
and to not have groups or additional repeat elements within.

I see that if you move backward in the form there are a few blank screens
showing. I've opened an issue for that:
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/issues/detail?id=661
and added you as a CC to the issue. If you don't want to be notified of the
progress in fixing that issue, you can remove your e-mail address from the
CC list.

Hi,

I had designed form with grouping on a single screen it's working fine
until ODK Collect 1.0 RC2(1013) but on ODK Collect 1.2(1013) it's not
working it's raise error "Only questions are allowed in 'field-list'. Bad
node is: /data/space_making_element".

Please can any one help me to solve this error.

I had attached my form please run on the ODK Collect 1.2(1013) to see the
error.

Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me. I've been battling with this for days reading so many help chats but hasn't worked... I have designed a form on ODKForm and I managed to publish it on ODK Aggregate, however, when I started to fill in my form to test it as soon as I get to the second question ODK collect crashes and shows up with "unfortunately, ODK collect has stopped". When I opened the form again it shows all my questions and when I tap on a series of questions another ERROR message comes up and says 'only questions are allowed in 'field-list. Bad node is:/data.

I would be very grateful for any advice.

Thanks,

Linda

Linda,

Thanks for searching the mailing first for an answer.

You put a grouped view of questions (starting with GirlsUnder6Months)
inside another grouped view (starting with Nationality) and that won't
work. Move the GirlsUnder6Months group outside the Nationality group.

It looks like you built this form with ODK Build. It shouldn't allow
such forms. I'ved filed a bug report at
https://github.com/clint-tseng/odkbuild/issues/29. Go to that link to
get updates on a fix.
