Please follow the steps here:
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/CollectTroubleshooting

To collect a log file for the span of time during which you get this error,
and then open an issue with the log file.

Yours is the first report of this issue.

Dear All,

I hope you're doing fine.

I was very happy using ODK Collect in a Nexus 5 (Android 4.4.4, kernel
version 3.4.0). I've just created a form with ODK aggregate, got it into
the mobile and filled it out once as a test. Once I answered all the
questions and got to its end, I marked it as finalised but when I try to
click on "save form and exit" I get the following error:

Sorry, save form failed: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

I tried to search for some workaround but wasn't lucky enough. I would be
thankful if someone could help me figure out what is wrong...

All the best,

e.

Thank you for the fast answer!

It seems that it was some problem with my settings sheet in the xml form. I
had it more or less as follows (as from the example in
http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/xlsform/):

settingsform_titleform_idpublic_keysubmission_urldefault_languageversionexample
titleexample_idIIBIjANBg...
https://example-odk-aggregate.appspot.com/submissionEnglish2
I then tried simplifying it so that it had only the "form_title" and
"form_id". After having converted the xls file again it to xlm and loaded
it into the mobile, it worked perfectly!

Thank you!

Hi Mitch,

I've just had the same problem as Eduardo before but when I click on your link there is an error that comes up and the page won't open. I am using Kobocollect Toolbox and got the same 'Sorry, form save failed!' message, not sure what to do now, can't seem to find any other answers elsewhere.

Thanks,
Iwona

Hi Eduardo,

Glad it's working, but if you have a form that can replicate this,
it'd be great if you could attach it to a new issue at
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/ so we can make sure it's not a
bug that others run into.

Thanks,

Yaw

Iwona,

The updated link is at
https://github.com/opendatakit/opendatakit/wiki/Collect-Troubleshooting.
If you are using Kobocollect Toolbox, you should get help from that
team at http://support.kobotoolbox.org/
