[ODK Community] Re: Save As new filter group button not active

Hello,

I tried to recreate the problem and was able to "save" and "save as"
without checking "Display Metadata".

Are you having that problem with all of your filters and forms?

As long as the form has columns specified, it should be possible to save
even without "Display Metadata" checked. If it's just this form, maybe
there's something weird in the definition. If it's all your forms, if you
could get back to us with some more information we can try and get it
sorted.

Cheers,

Sam

Ok, I figured it out!! You need to checkmark the Display Metadatacheckbox; otherwise you won't be able to save any filters.

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to create filters which I save (it worked on the previous
version of Aggregate) so that the data viewers can view certain reports,
but the "Save As" button is inactive! I'm logged in as THE administrator.
Is this a bug or did something change with this new release? FYI, I used
the ODK Aggregate v1.2.0 windows-installer.exe version to upload the new
version.
BTW, I deleted all the data from the previous survey before running the
installer above.

Oh really? Okay, I'll check and let you know with regards to leaving
"Display Metadata" unchecked.
By the way, the problem with that xml form validator is that it ALWAYS
gives a few warnings --- even for a simple 1-question form with a basic
text question -- just to see if it's going to complain.

Be sure you download the latest ODK Validate. I've just eliminated as many
of the spurious warnings as I could.
