ODK External Datasets

Hi guys,

I'm having a bit of an issue with trying to use external datasets. So I
have this form, attached, and an external dataset, also attached. However,
in the form on odk, it gives me the error "no such column: state (code 1):
, while compiling: SELECT DISTINCT * FROM
itemset_30f11ac32d9e82a93650b85bb0d90a2b WHERE list_name=? and state=?"

It might be important for me to note that I'm generating the csv from
another application. Could someone also explain to me what was used to
generate the 30f11ac32d9e82a93650b85bb0d90a2b hash.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

itemsets.csv (2.74 KB)

Jason,

The first problem I see is that for any list_name, names have to be
unique. You have lots of jrogena in your county list. Get regular
cascading selects working in your form first. Then worry about making
them external.

Thanks for the reply,

I actually figured out what the problem was. The app that's generating the
CSV file was appending a whitespace at the end of the first line.

Another question though. Can I (is it recommended to) populate the root
select in cascaded selects using an external dataset?
