I would love to develop a campus mapping application for my campus using
ODK, how ever, i have no much understanding of ODK.
the app should be able to mapm all buildings and able to give directions,
like if a new student does not know where the admin block is and he/she
type admin block that it would able to locate and give direction for the
block. in short its like google map or GIS Mobile but only for my campus.

ODK is not a good fit for what you are describing. Try Open Street Map
(http://www.openstreetmap.org/) or Mapbox (https://www.mapbox.com/).
