ODK on KaiOS

Dear all,
I have a question, hopefully you can help.

1. What is the problem? Be very detailed.
For a development work project in Uganda, the foundation I work for wants to use Kamunye mobile phones which run on KaiOS. These phones are relatively cheap and can hence be used by a big part of the Ugandan population, who before did not have the financial means to buy more than a simple feature phone.
Part of the project is to collect data from participants, preferably using ODK.
But does ODK run on KaiOS?

This is as much as I know about the device for now.

answering your question, unfortunately, you won't be able to use ODK Collect on devices with KaiOS since our app is written in Java for devices with Android OS.

That is indeed unfortunate.

I will look for alternatives then.

Either another software to collect data, or another device.

MTN Ka-FIT is a new android phone on the market in Uganda.

It is twice as expensive however, and not as durable (full touch screen, in stead of buttons)

If you have any suggestions about software that does run on Kai OS, please let me know.
