ODK projects with millions of data points

I was recently asked about ODK and if it can scale. It's a question I
get a lot so I figured the answer might be of interest to the
community.

Long story short, yes, you can use ODK to collect tens of millions of
indicators. And yes, you can collect those indicators quickly,
accurately, and offline.

Here are three examples of projects that have collected tens of
millions of data points with ODK. These are Nafundi projects because
that's what I'm most familiar with, but you can achieve similar scale
in your own deployments.

  1. USAID's Feed the Future has collected over 60 million data points
    across 20 countries with ODK.

  2. The Neglected Tropical Diseases Support Center has collected 50
million data points across 200 projects in 40 countries.

  3. AMPATH's ODK-powered home-based HIV counseling and testing program
in Western Kenya has reached over a million people.

If you know about other large ODK-based projects, please do share
those with the community. I think it's important we recognize and
publicize these success stories.

Thanks,

Yaw
