Odk tables sync issue: enumType error

I've been testing out odk tables and have run into difficulty syncing the tea house sample data to my app engine Aggregate 1.3.4 server. I followed all of the instructions in your alpha walkthrough, but im getting two errors when I sync:

enumType==null and name==null

Can you make any recommendation of what issue this may be pointing towards?

Great work on the app, btw - very timely!

Hi Mateo,

We are working on a vastly improved update, due out in the next week or so.
It will sync with ODK Aggregate 1.4.1 and inter-operate with ODK Survey;
it will be a combined Tables & Survey release, plus a zip of files for the
device and a development environment snapshot for the javascript of both
tools.

I believe the original Tables Alpha only sync'd with ODK Aggregate 1.3.2.

The upcoming release will still be an Alpha for Tables. We'll be making
(hopefully) one last set of changes to the sync protocol (the
file/attachment sync protocols), and then a general sweep through the app
to improve stability before it elevates to Beta.

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for your reply and this is great news. I'll stay tuned for the next release of tables that's compatible with Aggregate 1.4.1. One question: will the upcoming Tables release have photo sync capability (add new photos to existing records) with Aggregate?

Mateo

Yes, this version does support file sync (any type of file) with ODK
Aggregate.

However, in the update after this one, we will be changing that area of the
protocol to have different server storage areas and endpoints (APIs) for
the 3 types of files that might be sent to the server:

(1) files associated with an individual row (submission)
(2) files associated with a specific table (e.g., HTML, JS files for custom
graphs, list views or detail views)
(3) files associated with the overall application (e.g., the framework
files)

W.r.t. (3), we are still debating how much of the framework is built into
the individual ODK Survey / ODK Tables APK, and how much is managed via the
central server.

The version we are about to release uses a single endpoint (API) and folds
all of these into one big database table.

Mitch,
Very promising - I can't wait to dig into the new version. Thanks for the additional info and all of your group's hard work on this project.
