Hello,
How do I set data type to phone
I want entrants to enter respondents phone numbers, is it all possible to
have the field automatically have +256 as country code generated and
entrant begins from there to enter the extra 10 digits.

phone numbers need to be stored as strings because they are too long to be
stored as integers. See the numbers appearance

Strings can be restricted to have a specific structure using a constraint
specifying a regular expression (see regex here:
https://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/binding/).
