Recently I have been shown this project and been asked by some users to add
a specific feature like "Whatsapp"
The people coming to me have asked that for each form that there be a
short-cut like on "Whatsapp". Where the user clicks and holds the form in
question and an option comes up to add a link on the home page of the
device, until the form is completed for final submission. This may seem
trivial but can increase productivity of the users and hence raise the
rating of the application. If anyone can get back to me on this it would be
much appreciated.

There is already a shortcut capability -- press and hold your finger on the
home screen. Release, a menu will appear, choose Shortcuts, then select ODK
Collect, then select the form you want the shortcut to launch.
