You may have a slow network connection.
The conversion tool now requires a certain minimum connection speed and
will terminate and time-out the connection if your computer is unable to
transmit data fast enough.
There are several different offline conversion tools available. Try
downloading and using one of them https://opendatakit.org/use/xlsform/
If you do, you should also download and use the ODK Validate tool to ensure
that the generated form does not have errors.
