Problem showing image on PDA

Hello,

After reading through instructions for displaying an image in survey form,
I have made a media column (media::image) and saved .png files in the
sdcard folder. WHn I go to that question it says image is missing. I am not
sure what I am doing wrong. Any help please?

Hi Rubana,

The error message in Collect should have given you a hint as to where
to put the images. They go in /odk/forms/[formname]-media.

If that still doesn't work, make sure the filenames of the image
itself and the filename you put in the form are an exact match.

Thanks a lot Yaw for your quick responses. The error message shows-
File:/storage/sdcard0/odk/forms....

I am using Samsung galaxy tab 2. I cannot see a storage/sdcard0 folder. I
have loaded the images to the odk/forms..... My question is is this feature
only possible when a sdcard is present?

Hi Rubana,

If you are using ODK, it means the /odk folder exists on your device.
It might be internal storage. It might be external storage.

Samsung devices do strange things, so I can't tell you exactly where
that root path will be. Use your favorite Android File Explorer (e.g.,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop)
to find it.
