Problem with ODK Aggregate

Correct. There is something blocking the association of the MSHTA
application with this file extension. You might have an Anti-Virus
application that is blocking HTA applications from running.

If you have Windows 7, attached is a registry settings file from a
Microsoft support list that should reset the .hta associations back to
factory settings (i.e., the MSHTA executable). Download it and double-click
to run it. I've verified that the configuration on my computer exactly
matches the configuration that this file will set up for you.

Default_HTA.reg (1.8 KB)

Sent the directory path in an e mail as requested;

Tried the right click/open with/C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mshta.exe (I have a 64
bit machine - it thought about it for 10 minutes then gave the message "The
program you have selected cannot be associated with this file type. Please
choose another program."

To make sure, I tried going in through the control panel to set default
program for opening .hta files, tried to change it to
:\Windows\SysWOW64\mshta.exe and got the same result. Just for
completeness, I tried the same things using C:\Windows\System32\mshta.exe,
again, same thing

I'm pretty sure that before I changed the default program to IE, the icon
next to UploadAgregateToAppEngine was mshta. Am I correct in saying that
the problem I have is that mshta.exe for some reason isn't opening the .hta
file as it normally should? Perhaps are there other programs I could
download which can open .hta files?

Thanks Mitch - I'm running windows 8 however - is there a version for that?
I have the latest version of Kaspersky and Spyhunter 4 active on my
computer - could try disabling them then activating?

Success!!!!!!!

I uninstalled Spyhunter (after doing some further reading on the internet
it has some very bad reviews). Ran the program you sent which worked fine
on windows 8, then started the whole process again from scratch. This time
it all ran fine.

Seems the problem all along was Spyhunter 4 blocking mstha.exe from opening
the .hta file.

Thanks very much for all your time on this Mitch, hope this can post can be
of some help to others having issues

Wow. Excellent. Glad you figured it out.
