-
PMC
- GSoC: Applications are in and being reviewed.
- GSoD: We are on track to apply, but a little behind.
- Community announcement went out.
- TSCs: Has everyone been participating?
- Confirmation of the problem we are trying to solve with project leadership
- Strategic planning for the project, likely via recruiting work groups
- Executing of said strategic plan
- Resolve conflicts between the TSCs
- Tighten up and enforce governance
- Write and enforce legal and brand policies
- What we like in project leadership
- Two tier structure is good.
- No pay to play
- Leadership should be “earned”, but outside advisors are important/needed.
- Limit percentage
- Outsider have no vote, just the power to persuade.
- Size
- Yaw: 2-3 because it's mostly coordination
- Waylon: 5 with a max of 7 to get diversity of opinion
- Pull people from the TSCs seems promising
- If you have an even number from both TSCs, hard to split ties
- What to do if there is another suite.
- What to do about proportional representation

- Next steps
- [*] Yaw/Waylon: Apache/Node/Homebrew if there is something turnkey
- [*] Yaw/Waylon: Have discussion at the TSC level to see if this is reasonating with folks
- [*] Yaw/Waylon: Start a doc with proposed governance then ask for comment
- [*] Yaw: Talk to funders about a small non-junket convening
- [*] Yaw: Clean up remaining issues at https://github.com/opendatakit/opendatakit/issues
