You only need to use bind:odk:length if you are using Aggregate and you should not be using Aggregate because it is not being updated. Use Central instead.
To answer your question, it's very unlikely the increase will cause any problems with your Aggregate database. But if it does, you are on your own because, again, Aggregate is no longer supported.
