# Repeat Groups Responses as Options

**1. What is the problem? Be very detailed.**  
I am using a repeat group but want the response to be choices for another questions  
**2. What app or server are you using and on what device and operating system? Include version numbers.**  
I am developing a form  
**3. What you have you tried to fix the problem?**  
I have not tried settling the problem because I have no clue  
**4. What steps can we take to reproduce the problem?**

**5. Anything else we should know or have? If you have a test form or screenshots or logs, attach below.**  
If I am repeating ages of children in a repeat group, what should I do to select the child with the youngest age\>

I understand you have a problem and that's why you are asking but could you attach at least a draft form? It's much easier to understand and help then.

There isn't direct support for this in XLSForm but you can do it with a modification to the converted XML as described in [Generate multiple choice alternatives, based on the answers in a repeat - #4 by LN](https://forum.getodk.org/t/generate-multiple-choice-alternatives-based-on-the-answers-in-a-repeat/10269/4).

There is a proposal to add support for this in XLSForm at [https://github.com/XLSForm/pyxform/issues/38](https://github.com/XLSForm/pyxform/issues/38) and it looks like @Ukang_a_Dickson and team will be addressing it soon.
