Required questions

Hi All,
Is there a way to make the "name this form" field at the end of a completed
form required and blank instead of auto filled at the end? I'm hoping to
name surveys with participant's survey ID numbers to easily find filled
forms and be able to go back to them. Furthermore, does each form have a
specific ID or way to differentiate it when it is complete and exported
into briefcase, or do i need to program in a question to do this? Also,
does anyone have any good resources on how to do skip logic if i'm working
in the xforms format? Thank you for your help and time.
Cheers,
Sarah

Sarah,

Use the instanceName option to automatically name the survey with
survey ID (or some other internal data). See
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/opendatakit/OqeyXPZhI78/cCao3F9eqBAJ
for an overview of how to do that.

If you are using XLSForm or Build, it should automatically add a
meta/instanceID that uniquely identifies each instance. If you are
coding up the forms by hand, build a short form in Build and see what
the XML looks like.

http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/xlsform and
https://formhub.org/support have lots of resources on skip logic using
XLSForm. If you are coding up forms by hand, see
http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design.
