Hi ODK community,
Every once in a while when we try to send finalized forms with the ODK app,
it takes so long that the connection times out. This is done with both the
cellular network and the wifi (which has a pretty fast connection speed).
There doesn't seem to be anything different between the forms that send
successfully and those that don't.
Please help!

Do the forms have large files (e.g., are you capturing images)?
Also what are you using as a backend (Aggregate on Google App Engine, Formhub)?

Thanks for your quick answer.
No our survey doesn't capture any photos, just multiple choice questions.
If I understand your second question correctly, we're using Formhub. (not
sure what "Aggregate on Google App Engine" means.)
Any suggestions of how we can send our files successfully?

Formhub is often slow or down. It's not something the ODK core team

Your alternatives are to self-host formhub
(http://sel.columbia.edu/new-options-for-formhub-users) or use ODK
Aggregate (http://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/). For more turn-key
solutions, you can try SurveyCTO (http://surveycto.com) or Enketo
(http://enketo.org) or SMAP (http://www.smap.com.au).

P.S. Many years ago, I worked in Rwinkwavu with PIH setting up the
EMR. I was there for six months. Small world, huh?
