I am programatically getting this error message (see below) on my ODK
collect on my two year old HTC phone a few seconds after opening any of the
sample surveys that I downloaded from the ODK Aggregate server. I don't
have a phone chip in the phone if that makes any difference. I have tried
reinstalling the ODK Collect app. I have tried and get the same error even
if a survey only has one note with one word in the text.
Here is the error...
Sorry!
The application ODK Collect (process org.odk.collect.android) has stopped
unexpectedly. Please try again.

ODK Collect requires "external storage" be installed on your device.
On older 2.x phones, this means you generally need to install an SD Card to
provide this storage.
On most (all?) 4.x tablets and phones, the SD Card soldered onto the
circuit board has a partition designated as 'external storage' and
everything just works.

Uninstall ODK Collect. Rename the /odk folder to /odk2 (or delete it
if you don't need any of the forms). Make sure your phone isn't
connected to the computer via USB.
Reboot the phone, re-install ODK Collect, but do not install any of
your forms. Does that work without crashing? Now try downloading some
of the demo forms. Does that work?
