Submission rows restrictions from ODK Briefcase? (how many can it handle?)

QQ for the group......

I have a form that has a repeat group embedded into it. Thus when I use
Briefcase to export to a "CSV" file I get two files......one for the main
form and one linked to the repeat form........no problems there. My
question is this.

I have a potential for 100k+ rows on some of these forms after all the
submissions are complete.........is there a limit to number of records that
briefcase can handle...........or is that only a hardware(memory) issue for
the machine I am running ODK Briefcase from?

Dear John,

As per my experience there is no limit of Briefcase. I have been downloading more than 20k with that so far in one time.

However, I have notices that if you are using Google Appengine, fetching large data more than 20k becomes time consuming. A better approach is to download data periodically resulting in low burdone on both ends.

No limit on number of records for Briefcase though.

Correct. There is no limit to the number of submissions it can handle.

When downloading, it pulls data 100 rows at a time.

When uploading or exporting to CSV, it processes the dataset one row at a
time.
