I am using pre-populated data for ODK data collection. Some of the
pre-populated data I am using for searching information in the data set.
All these pre-populated data become part of the output data, which I am not
interested.
I am wondering if there is any option for defining a temporary variable in
ODK XLSForm, and we do not write them in output data set.

This capability is available in the 2.0 tools (not yet released).
