The log in the ODK collect says sent on (date, time) but the data is missing in the server

I am getting this strange complaints from enumerators that they had sent
data and the log in the collect (Delete forms>Saved Forms) have the status
of data being sent to the server but the data is missing in the database. I
queried IDs and Names of the records and even filtered the dataset in the
database but no data on the date exist in the database. Data transactions
by far have been robust but I am getting this complaint from a user (a
device). I am a little lost regarding the issue as to what and where shall
i start from to do the troubleshooting. Have anybody faced this problems
yet? Since the enumerator with the device is not reachable to me as he's on
the field, I really am looking for a lead to go about things. Do the data
still exist in the instance folder after the data are sent to the server? I
really need a lead or a way to do the troubleshooting.

Unless you've deleted the submissions (or turned on delete after
send), you can find submissions are in /odk/instances. ODK does its
best not to delete any data automatically.

In the form, check and make sure your submission url is set to the
correct server (or that you have no submission url).

In Collect, check the settings and make sure you are sending to the
correct default server.

In Aggregate, Check Form Management > Submission Admin. Do you see the
forms there? If so, they are incomplete (e.g., the server has the text
data but is missing multimedia data).

Thanks guys for the response. I am sure, the server URL and the form
versions are ok. Connection with the server back and forth for form
fetching and data submission is just smooth. Can't wait to get a hold on
the device with the problem. Thanks again

Also make sure that the ODK Collect is the same version as your other
devices.

ODK Collect 1.4.5 rev 1048 is the latest.

If you do have delete-after-send enabled, there were issues with it when it
first debuted. Upgrade to the latest to ensure that you are not
encountering those problems.
