Trouble exporting to google sheets / Excel file

Hello,

I was using ODK a couple of years ago (created forms, collected date and
published it into google spreadsheets). This last allowed me to get the
data copied and pasted into an Excel spreadsheet, and save it as a Excel
file.

After a long time not entering into ODK aggregate I am trying to do the
same but the only thing I can do is publishing in fusion tables from which
I can not/don't know how to export the data in an excel file (if I publish
from fusion tables or ODK aggregate as a cvs file I get an excel file in
which all the information is mixed and not in cells as it is in the
original display of those applications). When trying to publish in google
spreadsheets I receive an error message saying that "Doclist API has been
shut down and I shoud use a new drive API"...
I saw this question was asked by another user in a threat with the same
name who was suggested to upgrade aggregate to a new version (1.4.7):
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/opendatakit/the$20doclist$20api$20have$20been$20shut$20down|sort:relevance/opendatakit/NbmFtCz5HOM/9Vu6oGSoc1UJ

I have been trying to figure out how to upgrade to this Aggregate 1.4.7
version but I could not find an upgrade.

I would be very grateful if someone can give me some help on how to get the
info from Aggregate into an excel spreadsheet with the display in cells
shown in the aggreqate app. Am not programmer, so it would be really cool
if you could explain it for basic level users

Thanks in advance

See the release notes at:

https://github.com/opendatakit/opendatakit/wiki/Aggregate-Release-Notes

for how to upgrade. In particular, for each release, pay attention to the
upgrade steps.

The ODK Aggregate installers are available at:

Choose the installer you need, then click "Previous Versions"

Helo Mitch,

thanks a lot for your answer. I am trying to follow the steps you
suggested. At the moment I an trying to pull a copy of the data to my
computer, for what I am required a url, and user name and a password. It is
a long time I created the account and I can not remember that info. I
entered with my google profile but apparently it is not possible (+
aggregate does not allow me enter with that info anymore) or as anonimous,
what worked when I could publish to spreadsheets directly. I tried all the
possible user names and passwords I could think I had used but it didnt
work. Is there anyway I can check that info or reset it?

Best.
sergio

You may need to update to ODK Aggregate 1.4.4 first (the first installer
version that configures the ODK Aggregate superuser username instead of
using a gmail account).

Once you follow the steps to upgrade to ODK Aggregate 1.4.4, I would then
use ODK Briefcase to create a backup of your data, then proceed with the
steps needed to upgrade to the latest ODK Aggregate.
