Trying out the wayfinding feature

1. What is the issue? Please be detailed.

Hey ODKers,

I have been trying out the wayfinding feature using the xls form
wayfinding.xlsx (7.4 KB) found in the ODK documents. Everything works fine except the "Click to wayfind with Organic Maps" part. I keep getting an error "the requested application is missing". Anyone with an idea on how to solve this? I initially thought it was the device I was using (runs on Android 11) but switching to an older device (Android 7) doesn't work still.

I have tried to use a device with a different Android version

Organic Maps removed support for the way we were documenting route building in this commit, released in July.

I have updated the sample form definition. Unfortunately route building now needs an explicit starting location which is a bit less convenient than it used to be.

I have made a feature request to Organic Maps to make the start location optional.

Hello @LN

Thank you for the support. I have been able to customize this to my use-case in health outreach. It now works and looks great!

I will share lessons learnt.
