Updating form with new column name

Question about the rules pertaining to updating a form: https://docs.opendatakit.org/form-update/

Found out someone has mislabelled a column, using "bind::odk-length" instead of "bind::odk:length"

Can this be changed and updated (including the version number) without needing a new form?

Hi,

I believe, this should work and I don't think you do not need to replace the existing form. However, the best way to do is, if you are in a mid way of data collection process and you do not want to take any chance. Keep the previous version of the form > take backup of your aggregate server and try to apply the changes.

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, upon publishing the update we got the error message that the form already existed. So it looks like we'll have to change the form name and upload a new version. :frowning:
