Uploading +Logo

Dear ODK Community,

I am struggling with form and logo uploading.

I have created an Excel file (copied from another Excel file which displayed properly when converted to XML and uploaded) and converted it to XML through the XLSForm tool (http://opendatakit.org/xiframe/). However, when uploading it through the "Add new form" button, nothing seems to happen (I have three forms running so far)

Besides, I have tried yesterday to upload a media file (picture) to appear in the form though the same tool: ODK has detected it in the "Media File" column but it does not display. How should I make reference of the media in the XML file?

Thanks for your help.

Bastien

When you copy a form XLSX file to define a new form, you need to specify a
different (new) form_id on the setting sheet.

ODK Aggregate uses the form_id to identify distinct forms.

Once you change the XLSX file, you then need to use the XLSForm tool to
convert it to XML and upload that XML file to the server.

You likely didn't change the form_id, or anything else in the form, so when
you tried to upload it to ODK Aggregate, it ignored the attempt because the
form definition hadn't changed.

w.r.t. the image, you would just enter the image filename on the survey
sheet under an 'image' column heading.

E.g., if you has an image, 'foo.jpg', then you would enter 'foo.jpg' under
the 'image' column beside the question where you wanted to display that
image.

If you are going to manually copy the files onto your device, if your form
XML file is called "myform.xml" (the name does not have to match the
form_id or display name of the form), then you would copy "myform.xml" to
"/sdcard/odk/forms" and create a directory called "myform-media" within
that folder and place 'foo.jpg' inside that directory.
