Using operators in integer fields

Hi,
Is there any way to use operators in integer fields. I see the *, +
displayed on the touchscreen together with the numbers, but they don't
work. Is there another field type to do that?
I'm trying to avoid creating 2 separate fields to do a multiplication. A
calculator widget would be handy too
Thanks
Maria

Hi Maria,

As far as I know, integer fields can only take integers -- not operators.
And I don't know of any calculator widget. Thus, if you want to do some
calculation, you'll need to solicit the individual numbers from the user,
then have a calculate field that does the actual calculation.

Maybe there is some way to call out to an external calculator, though,
using the "external intent" support. If so, hopefully somebody else will
chime in.

Best,

Chris
