Using Screen capture rather than camera?

I have a survey that requires an image taken from a PDF/ CAD file on my
phone so when the user gets to that question prompt they have to select
image from the screen capture that they created from the cad drawing
(zoomed in)

is there anyway to use the screen capture {power button + Home key} as the
camera prompt instead?

That would require a code change.

However, having saved the screen shot to a file that the media store knows
about, you should be able to use "Choose Image" to select that file.

Not sure whether this means storing it under DCIM or some other location,
or doing something special with it.
