XLSForm conversion with Cascading Repeats

Hi there,

I am using a cascading repeat that references values from prior nodes in the same form. If I code the forms by hand then everything works perfectly. However if I insert the reference field into the xlsform, it translates quotes and other parts of the reference. For example, I want the following in the form:

If I put the above into the xlsform it is translated to:

<output ref="/data/People[position()=1]/Peeps/Name"/>

Is there anyway to protect a string in the xlsforms so that they aren't translated or changed in any way?

Thanks...

Not that I'm aware of.
