Z-ALPHA JSON Server status PAUSED

Hi Everyone,

What is causing ODK Aggregate (v1.4.5) JSON publish gave published status
PAUSED to my local Z-ALPHA JSON Server?

Best,

If your JSON server rejects the published data from ODK Aggregate, then ODK
Aggregate will enter a PAUSED state.

Also, look in your server logs for other causes (e.g., corrupted data
records).

On the Forms Management / Published Data sub-tab, you should be able to
click the "Paused" button to restart the publishing.

What does 'Active_Pause' status mean. Also, why will a form status be 'Active' but the published through date and time is empty? I'm trying to publish a form to Z-Alpha JSON Server.

There is not a PAUSED button, it is only text, is there any other way to restart a paused publisher?

It might be Active without a published-through date if there are no
submissions for that form, or, if after setting up streaming, there have
been no new submissions received that have been successfully sent to the
JSON server.

There can be a 6-30 second delay between the receipt of a submission and
its publishing through to the server.

This is to minimize quota consumption on AppEngine.

The general state machine is:

 *Active *
     |

(downstream server failure)
|
V
Active_Pause
|
(~90+ second delay)
|
V
Active_Retry
|
(downstream server failure)
|
V
Paused
|
(~15+ minute delay)
|
V
Active_Retry

And, whenever there is a successful transmission, the state goes back to
Active.

Active_Pause for Fusion Tables only sleeps 60 seconds, as this is a
commonly triggered by Google's publishing-rate-quota limits.

With ODK Aggregate 1.4.13, the PAUSED state now has a button. PAUSED
publishers attempt to resume about once every 8-10 minutes, so there is no
need to press the new button to resume them, but it is extremely useful
when diagnosing publishing problems to, e.g., your own JSON server.

And the transition out of Paused can be delayed further if there are no
incoming submissions (on any form), or if the

Disable faster background actions (exports, publishing, form deletion)
(slows quota usage on Google AppEngine)

checkbox is checked.
