As the Director of Product Strategy at Medic Mobile, Marc Abbyad combines his field experience and background in software engineering to help build appropriate mobile and web tools to improve community-based healthcare programs. Marc has been with Medic Mobile since 2010 and has seen the evolution of the mHealth field while guiding the design and development of Medic's tools for community health workers. Throughout this time he has also supported various large international NGOs to design and deploy mHealth projects in over a dozen countries in Africa, South Asia, and Latin America.

Prior to joining Medic Mobile, Marc developed wireless communication software and firmware for mobile security cameras, created software to assist with environmental research, and designed & built front and back end web applications. Marc holds a BEng in Software Engineering from Concordia University, and a MSc in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University. He is currently based in Toronto, Canada
