Acknowldege widget string

Is there a way to set the string for the acknowledge widget from "Ok.
Please continue" to something else in another language?

Nope. But that sounds like a pretty good patch that could be
submitted. Alternatively, you could use a read-only string widget to
give the user a message.

Correction: this string is internationalized just like any other string in
ODK Collect.

So if the language translation exists for the language you want to display,
and you have set your phone to operate in that language, then it will use
that text.

This is problematic for certain language script that is not supported by
Android.

Ahh .. so, it's a phone setting and in a language that is supported, not
ODK's. As a workaround, I'm using a single select option instead.

To clarify for everyone:

Collect understand the text internationalization features of
javarosa Xforms and can structure your input so that the question
text is grouped into an translation block for
internationalization. Therefore, to support multiple languages you
need to specify the question text in the appropriate language using
the tag. To change the language the Xform's questions are being
rendered in, simply hit the 'Menu' button on the Android while filling
out a form and click the 'Change Language' button.

To change the language ODK Collect is using to render the user
interface (e.g., button text, instructions) you need to change the
phone's language settings. Collect determines it user interface
language (not question language) based on the phone's overall
settings. For example in the phone settings if you set the phone's
locale to Espanol, Collect will render it's navigation text in
Spanish.

Since the ODK does not speak every language needed we rely on the
community to help with translating the strings. Also note: you cannot
change ODK collect's user interface (not question prompts) if the
phone does not support that language.

Cheers,
Waylon
