Currently, the QR code can be exported from Central using the browser's right click/save as, but it isn't clear if doing this will work or how best to get the image to the device. I propose we:
1 Add a "Download code" link underneath the QR code when it is displayed in Central
2. Update setup documentation to highlight that Collect can import a QR code from disk as well as scanning one.
I was interested to post this here to see if people had alternative ideas around getting the QR code out of Central (email for example).
What is the general goal of the feature?
Make it easier to configure devices when it isn't possible for the device to be used to scan the App User QR code.
What are some example use cases for this feature?
Examples of when this could be the case is the device being physically remote from anyone with access to the Central server or the device not having a camera.
What can you contribute to making this feature a reality?
Planning, creating issues and hopefully development if timing works out!
