Hi,
It seems to me that the Visualize-Map doesn't show all the data we have in
the database, instead, it shows page by page. I think it makes more sense
to show them all, or at least we should have a place to configure how we
want it to display the data.
Currently you can control the number of data points that get displayed
in Aggregate's web based maps by changing the number of submissions
displayed on the submissions page. With the issues around app engine
billing, quotas, and timeouts we wanted to be flexible and allow
people to limit the number of data points they pull from the server.
The best way to get all your data on a single map under your control
that includes the full data set is to use the export KML functionality
of Aggregate. KML is the Google Earth and Google Maps format for data.
Using Aggregate's export functionality can import your entire data set
into something like Google Earth (which is free).
When designing the web interface for Aggregate's maps it was meant to
give someone a quick reference that they could control by adjusting
the parameters of the filtering. We are working on creating a more
in-depth mapping feature but I do not have any ETA on when that might
be released.
