Aggregate on Win10 and network local WiFi (the continuation)

Installation: PostgreSQL9.5-Tomcat8.5 - Aggregate1.4.13 - ODK Collect 1.5.1
Network: local WiFi behind one cubicle

Hi,

After the successful installation of aggregate on Windows10 (thank you for
the help with forms), everything works correctly on the pc.

But I cannot get back forms from my smartphone (with ODK Collect).

I see the list and I can choose forms but in the download I obtain the
message:
"Unable to solves host " Odyssey ": No. adress associated with
hostname"Odyssey" is the name of my computer.

I connect on aggregate with my smartphone by
http://192.168.1.24:8080/ODKAggregate .
The IP is the local ip of my computer,
8080 is the port defined in Tomcat.

Where is me forgotten an element allowing me to download forms and also to
send back the data?
Windows 10?
Tomcat8.5?

After 2 days when I have to try many things on Win10, I appeal has you

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

This sounds like a network config issue.

When you installed Aggregate, it asked you for the globally accessible
URL (or something similar). You probably put 'Odyssey'. You can
confirm by going to http:// 192.168.1.24/xformsList and you'll see
some XML with downloadUrls that point to Odyssey.

The solution is to re-run the Aggregate installer and put 192.168.1.24
as the globally accessible URL.

Thanks Yaw, Thanks, Thanks, Thanks,

You have just ended a week of search which had been transformed into total
confusion; -)

Besides I have just put the "hand" on the page of ODK which gave the good
information (which just goes to show that we can read hundreds of pages and
comments and pass next to the important and essential only one ; -)
https://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/tomcat-in stall

Thus I have to make trainings in different places by using my PC the
solution to create so much of aggregate that of network local where I would
be, will be the most effective solution.

Thank you again for your intervention, she allowed to solve everything ; -)

Cordially

Dan

This address also ; -)

Dan,

Glad I could help! The ODK Aggregate VM at
https://gumroad.com/l/odk-aggregate-vm is also a reasonable solution
to this problem. It grabs whatever IP is available on your network and
uses that as the address.

Hi Yaw and thank you for your answer

but the current installation on the pc is only temporary and to serve that
to make punctual trainings.
The vm does not thus interest me and I do not propose the cloud because the
data are sensitive.
