What is the general goal of the feature?

  1. duration = this will calculate the time spent on each survey.
  2. comments = this will allow the user to leave a comment on any question which is require but the option is not in the listed choice, or if a user want to add a relevant comment to a question.
  3. audio audit = this will record portion of the conversation between the interviewer and the respondent in the background with the consent of the respondent for data quality purpose
  4. text audit = this will calculate the time spend on each question to ensure that interviewers takes their time to read each question to the respondent without answering it by themselves.
  5. geopoint = this will record the location in the background whenever it gets a high accuracy level, this will prevent a delay in recording the coordinates.

What are some example use cases for this feature?
this features work well when you are using SurveyCTO Platform and SurveyCTO Collect

You noted that some of this functionality exists in SurveyCTO. That may be the case, but please note that SurveyCTO is a closed-source fork of ODK. That means that they’ve chosen not to share their code changes with the broader ODK community.

I hear you that you’d like some more auditing features, and we have a series on ongoing discussions that will get such functionality added to ODK in a community-oriented and open-source manner. The first of this is text auditing which is coming soon and as you noticed, there is an ongoing conversation on auto GPS.
