Autocomplete widget

Hey all,
I'm trying to use the autocomplete widget, and the attached xform can't
produce the functionality showcased
by http://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/examples/

The xform is as close as I can get to the xml shown in the examples page,
and I did a fresh download of Collect from the Market just before testing
this.

Help will be most appreciated.
