Automatic GPS capture

Hello good people

I was wondering if there a way to automatically capture GPS coordinates in
the background without the enumerater/data collecter physically geting the
GPS. Specifically in XLS for example can i include it in the *META *data so
that its captured in the background ? and if not what are the alternatives?

Thank you

Charles

Charles,

There's no easy way to capture GPS points in the background. As Mitch
explained in https://groups.google.com/d/msg/opendatakit/0BwuSacXNBM/8eTW2wtzuXEJ,
this feature would be hard to do well and would eat batteries.

Before we can offer alternatives, we need to understand what higher
level problems you are trying to solve.

Glad to offer alternatives but you do have to tell us what exactly you
