Barcode scanning does not scan the correct number

I am using the barcode scanning function in ODK collect to collect data in the field. When scanning the QR code, the number that appears does not match the actual ID. It has a longer set of number that have nothing to do with the ID.

We have tried restarting the tablet, scanning the QR code from different angles and light but still happens

let me know if anyone has faced this before and in case, how they solved it

How are you generating the QR codes? Have you tried scanning them with a different QR code reader to see if the result is different?
