Dear all,
Out of curiosity, can I still access an Aggregate instance, complete with
all its forms and submissions, etc as it was, if the IP address of my
server has changed? I would need to re-run the Aggregate Installer of
course specifying my new IP, but would this create a brand new instance or
is there some way that I can still access the previous instance found at
the former IP address?
Thanks,
Tumaini
As long as the "ODK Aggregate Instance Name" is the same, and you specify
the same database information, everything should work. All site-specific
data other than the configuration settings are stored in the database, so
as long as the new server references the same database, it will see all the
same data.
If you change the "ODK Aggregate Instance Name", then the ODK Aggregate
passwords will all become invalid and you'll need to change all the
passwords to reset them. This is because of the nature of that login
process and cannot be avoided.
