Change of links for ODK documentation

Hello ODKers,

I have noticed that the links for the ODK documentation has been changed. Can anyone please help me to find the search() function documentation link and the new link to the below mentioned link

https://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/binding/

Thanks and Regards,
SGSC

I think https://docs.opendatakit.org/form-question-types/?highlight=search#select-widget-with-autocomplete is what you are looking for.

I imagine you're probably looking for the search appearance function rather than the appearance. http://xlsform.org/en/#dynamic-selects-from-pre-loaded-data

Hi @LN,

Yes I was looking for the search appearance function . The link I have provided has good documentation which is missing in the current version of documentation . It is good having the new documentation but there are some key points missing in the new documentation . For example consider the search appearance function only, It had good description about the many ways the search function can be used (name_of_csv,constains,hhid,${hhid}) rather than a simple example . It will be really helpful or If I am missing please let me know where can I find the documentation of it . I am placing the previous URL from where I have read about search function.

The documentation is a work in progress and the best way for that work to progress is for everyone to contribute. Until more people contribute, there will be gaps.

The old content is at https://web.archive.org/web/*/https://opendatakit.org/help/form-design/data-preloading. Would you be willing to help move it over to the new docs site?

@SGSC Can you start by following the instructions in the README at https://github.com/opendatakit/docs to get the docs to build locally. If you run into any problems and you need real-time help, please ask in the #docs-code channel at http://slack.opendatakit.org!

Once you get the docs building, we can talk about the best place to put those missing pages.
