1. What is the issue? Please be detailed.
In tapping that audio icon for questions and answers that have audio files, no audio is playing, but rather an error comes up as a snackbar UI message with the path to the local storage location of that file. The image files were also showing a path name instead of the actual images. I triple checked to ensure the audio files were actually on the ONA server. I was able to open the Enketo form in a browser and see the images and play the audio, still nothing on ODK Collect. I removed the project, then re-added it and downloaded all the forms and form media. Still nothing. I updated ODK Collect via the playstore to ODK Collect v 2026.2.0 Beta 0. The problem was also occurring with the previous Beta.
Even on the newly updated Beta version, it was still showing the same errors. Suddenly, upon exiting the form and starting a new form (the same one), the audio plays, images are there. I exited (discarded the draft) and started a new form (without updating/downloading) anything. I've NEVER seen/had this issue. My form has about 200 media files. Perhaps this is some kind of cache issue?
I'm using a Google Pixel 6 Pro.
The reason I post is that I think I may have seen this before and only now do I have a bit more data to explain how media that should be showing up isn't. I'm not sure if it is an ONA issue, or Collect issue, but since everything on ONA servers looked good, enketo form showed media, I think this was a Collect issue.
