Greetings,
Looking to create our own build that we can add an application icon to. Saw
that a post was already generated on this, but the documentation was not
all that clear. If anyone has more detailed instructions on how to do this
it would be very appreciated.
Background: Original developer left with ODK build for our org - which
included custom app icon, but ran on old version of collect. Looking to get
up to speed on 1.2.2 as well as have our own build in house now.
Thanks,
Mike
Hey Mike,
By default, Collect points to the notes.png files in /res/drawable-*/.
Either replace that image with your icon or change the source (links
below) to point to whatever image you'd like to use.
https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/source/browse/AndroidManifest.xml?repo=collect#36
https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/source/browse/res/layout/splash_screen.xml?repo=collect#29

Do I need to create a clone to download the source? When I try, I get an
error 404 from Google.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Michael,
You can download the source at
https://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/source/checkout?repo=collect.
Try using that command you see there. You do not need to create a
clone of the repo hosted at Google Code. A local clone is all you
need.

And please let me know where you are reading and finding the repo URL.
Google changed the form of it, and I'd like to get whatever documentation
you are following updated to use the new URL (that's why you are getting a
404)
